Virgin Media's TiVo platform is now in 30% of Virgin's TV households, according to the cable company's latest financial results.
TiVo's customer base increased by 205,900 during the quarter ending 30 September, taking the total number of subscribers to the next generation service to 1.14m.
Virgin Media added 39,500 new cable subscribers during the third quarter, compared to 6,300 during the same period in 2011, resulting in a total cable customer base of 4.85 million.
The number of customers taking broadband services with speeds of 30Mbps and above increased by 452,900 to 1.8 million, according to the results.
Virgin Media also reported a third quarter revenue of £1.028 billion (?1.263 billion), up 2.8% year-on-year.
Neil Berkett, Chief Executive Officer of Virgin Media, said: "This has been a quarter where continued strong demand for superfast broadband and TiVo has led to lower churn and meaningful cable customer growth. Combined with progress in our business division, we have again delivered solid financial progress with continued revenue and OCF growth, translating into strong Free Cash Flow and shareholder returns."
