Sky refreshes HD EPG

Sky has announced the roll-out of a new-look Sky+HD EPG.

The revised TV guide integrates on-demand content with linear programming on the genre landing pages, a search function has also been introduced for Sky Movies customers.

Other changes include the whole guide being available in 'pinpoint HD', a larger number of channels available per page and a browse by genre function in the Sky+ Planner.

Announcing the new guide on the Sky Views blog, Luke Bradley-Jones, Brand Director for TV Products said that customers on average interact with the Sky EPG a total of more than 1.2 billion times.

"It's an astonishing figure, and highlights just how integral the EPG is to the experience we offer our 10 million plus TV customers," he added.

The update will occur as part of a phased roll-out which will last throughout this year, starting with tens of thousands of boxes this week and expanding to millions more before the end of the year.
