Technicolor has launched M-GO, a new consumer brand that will allow users to combine media including movies, music, apps and live TV in one cloud-based location.
Technicolor has formed strategic partnerships around M-GO with Intel, Samsung and VIZIO which will see the app become available on Intel Ultrabooks devices, Samsung 2012 Smart TVs and Blu-Ray Disc players, and VIZIO televisions, tablets, Blu-Ray players and stream players.
The service features a discovery engine to access content online and can be used with smart phones or connected tablets as a second-screen experience when watching TV.
John Batter, CEO of M-GO, said: "We could not be more thrilled to be partnering with the leading technology brands to deliver the best and most immersive experience regardless of where, when, and how media is consumed."
Frederic Rose, CEO of Technicolor, added: "Technicolor is at the intersection of content creation and distribution, and I strongly believe M-GO is the future of digital content discovery and delivery."
M-GO will launch and be available to US consumers in the spring of 2012, before going international in 2013. The service is currently being previewed at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
