Technicolor unveils M-GO app

Technicolor has launched M-GO, a new consumer brand that will allow users to combine media including movies, music, apps and live TV in one cloud-based location.

Technicolor has formed strategic partnerships around M-GO with Intel, Samsung and VIZIO which will see the app become available on Intel Ultrabooks devices, Samsung 2012 Smart TVs and Blu-Ray Disc players, and VIZIO televisions, tablets, Blu-Ray players and stream players.

The service features a discovery engine to access content online and can be used with smart phones or connected tablets as a second-screen experience when watching TV.

M-GO will launch and be available to US consumers in the spring of 2012, before going international in 2013. The service is currently being previewed at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
