BBC HD unveils summer of live events
The BBC HD channel has announced they will be showcasing a series of sport and music events this summer.
The full line-up is: Queen's Tennis Championship on 8-14 June, Wimbledon on 22 June-5 July, BBC Proms on 17 July-12 September, Glastonbury on 26-28 June and the World Championships in Athletics on 15-28 August.
Danielle Nagler, Head of BBC HD, said: "Sport and music lend themselves perfectly to HD viewing. It really brings these kinds of events to life and so this summer will be a treat for BBC HD viewers.
"It's been a year of real growth for the channel—we've increased hours, we're now available via BBC iPlayer and the viewers themselves voted us Channel of the Year in the recent Freesat awards.
"We want to continue to build on the growing appreciation for BBC HD and deliver more and more great content to both current and new audiences."
