Five have secured a contract with Mobile Interactive Group (MIG) that will provide the broadcaster with mobile interactive services across all of their flagship TV shows including The Gadget Show and Fifth Gear.
Mobile interactivity will be powered by MIDAS™, MIG's high capacity mobile interactive delivery application solution.
Paul Gill, Commercial Development Manager, Five said, "We have a great relationship with the team at MIG and we've been working closely with them to put the service and operational framework in place. Their knowledge and expertise in the broadcast market is exceptional and it's imperative for Five to partner with the industry leaders. MIG's mobile messaging platform MIDAS™ is tried and tested by other leading broadcasters and production companies in the market place, which gives us 100% confidence in MIG's ability to deliver a robust and compliant solution for Five."
Barry Houlihan, MD, MIG said, "Our partnership with Five demonstrates MIG's leading position in the broadcast market. MIG is now recognised as the defacto mobile interactive partner of choice and now delivers full service mobile interactive solutions for the majority of major broadcasters, production and media companies in the UK. The broadcast team at MIG will work with Five on their mobile strategy, to increase consumer interactivity and to launch interactive services across the channel through our mobile messaging platform MIDAS™."
"We plan to extend the group service offering to FIVE through MIG's sister company Jigsaw which will be working with Five's sponsorship and advertising teams to provide mobile interactivity to their brands and advertisers."
