Sky offers Sudoku to subscribers

Sky is joining the Sudoku craze. From Thursday its 7.8m subscribers in the UK and Ireland will be able to play an interactive version of the number puzzle via remote control.

The game's content is being supplied by Puzzler Media, creators of Sudoku magazine. The Sky Gamestar version—costing 60p for three games, or £1 for four levels of difficulty—allows players to learn how the experts complete their number grids, and submit high scores for the chance to win prizes.

Puzzler Media's Tony Ablewhite said: "Sudoku has taken Britain by storm—we've never seen anything like it. It really has changed the face of puzzles and with Sky's interactive version millions more people will be able to test their logic skills using just their remote control."

Sky Gamestar is Sky's interactive games portal, featuring more than 30 games at any one time, including Monopoly, Scrabble and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?
