HomeChoice offers music downloads

Digital TV and broadband provider Video Networks is about to launch a music download service via its HomeChoice offering. As Media Week reported, the service - a first via TV, says Video Networks - will be available on the HomeChoice V:MX music channels.

The service - developed in conjunction with 7 Digital Media - enables HomeChoice subscribers to purchase songs by texting messages from a mobile phone.

They then receive a download code which is used to download music via the V:MX web site.

Roger Lynch, chairman and chief executive of Video Networks, told Media Week: "Video Network's V:MX music channels have already been recognised for their interactive excellence and the new download service will take the customer experience one step further."
