Five's new free-to-view digital channels will go on air on October 15 and 16. Five Life, offering female-oriented programming, will launch on October 15 and broadcast between 6am and 11pm.
Five US, offering US-imported programming including legal drama Shark and CSI, will launch the following day and broadcast between 4pm and 1am.
Unveiling new channel logos, Nol Davis, Five's creative services chief, said: "The Five US and Five Life logos take their lead from the Five logo and reflect the fact that, from this autumn, Five will be a network of dynamic, smart and emotionally intelligent channels sharing the same brand values. Five is challenging, open and straight talking and the Five US and Five Life logos demonstrate that."
Five CEO Jane Lighting said the channel launches were "tremendously exciting and the most important development in Five's history since our launch more than nine years ago".
She added: "We believe these two new channels will play to our programming strengths, highlighting genres in which we have an acknowledged track record. A huge amount of work has gone on behind the scenes to create two propositions that genuinely increase viewer choice across the digital platforms."
Five US and Five Life will be launched on Freeview and Five plans to make both channels available on satellite and cable.
