Ofcom has announced the appointment of eight new members, including a new Chair, and the reappointment of one existing member to its Advisory Committee for England. All new members will serve a period of either three or four years.
Professor William Dutton has been appointed as Chair of the Advisory Committee for England, who will also be member for the South East region.
Other new members appointed are Graham Creelman—East Region, Dharmash Mistry—London, Olwyn Hocking—North East, Wendy Pilmer—North East, John Varney—North West, Helen Foster—West Midlands and Robert Watson—East Midlands. Anne Scorer has been reappointed to the Committee.
Ofcom has also appointed Simon Gibson as a member of its Advisory Committee for Wales for a four year term.
The four National Advisory Committees provide advice to Ofcom about the interests and opinions of people living in the Nations and Regions on all communications matters.
