DTG re-appoints Lindsay-Davies as Director General

The DTG has announced that Richard Lindsay-Davies has been re-appointed as Director General of the Group.

Richard left the DTG in December 2007 to join Freesat as Commercial Development Director and is returning to the Group having played an integral role in the successful launch of the Freesat platform.

He initially joined the DTG in 2004 as Director of Public Affairs and was appointed Director General in August 2006.

Professor David Youlton, Chairman of the Digital TV Group, said: "We are delighted to welcome Richard back to the Group. The broadcasting experience he has gained at Freesat and the expertise he will have acquired from taking part in such a high-profile platform launch will only enhance the outstanding range of skills that made his original tenure with the DTG so successful."

Prior to joining the DTG, Richard was Head of Strategic Marketing at Pace Micro Technology. He has also worked as a Marketing Manager for Toshiba and was the first plasma TV engineer for Sony in Europe where he began his career as a graduate trainee.

Richard will take up the role of Director General at the DTG in October.
