iConcerts signs Connected TV distribution deals
Swiss-based HDTV channel and video-on-demand platform, iConcerts, has announced distribution deals with manufacturers Samsung, Toshiba Europe, LG, Philips and Panasonic to feature the iConcerts connected TV app on TVs, Blu-ray/DVD Players, set-top boxes and tablets.
The iConcerts application will introduce image based sliding menus, a promotional area with performances from international artists, and a premium service with over 1000 concerts available.
The myConcerts section of the app will allow users to share content across multiple screens.
"With the iConcerts TV and VOD services now available in over 86 countries, our goal is to provide our audience with a true transmedia experience, creating a seamless link between watching linear TV and interacting with the on-demand content. Connected TV and tablet applications are a perfect complement to the HDTV broadcast. The iConcerts connected TV app will roll-out throughout Europe, Middle East and Asia.
