Registration

If your company is a DTG member you can register for access to the DTG Members' Area on the web site. We have a list of domains for member companies' emails and if your email domain (the part after the @ symbol) is in our list you can register yourself.

  1. Go to the registration page
  2. Enter your name and email (which will be your username)
  3. Click on the Submit button
  4. Our computer will email you a password
  5. Go to the Members Home Page
  6. Log in with your email address/username and the password we just sent you
  7. Change your password to something you can remember

It won't let me register

This means that your email domain is not recognised so it is not in our list. This could be because ...

  • You didn't spell it correctly (the case does not matter but check for ones and Ls or zeroes and Os ... etc)
  • Your company is a DTG member but, for some reason, we need to set up your account ourselves
  • Your company is not yet a DTG member
  • Your company's membership is suspended or has expired

The most likely reason why we need to set up your account ourselves is that your email domain also applies to people who are not connected to the DTG (for example if you had a Hotmail account).

Let's assume that you entered your email correctly and it was not recognised. When you pressed the submit button the web server emailed the DTG office to say that you have attempted to register and, if it's appropriate, the DTG office will contact you. The DTG office can manually register anyone even if their email domain is not on the list.

If you are registered manually you will be asked to go to the Forgot Password page where you can tell the computer to email you a password.

Log In and Out

The DTG Members' Area keeps track of you by setting a cookie. If cookies are not enable your log in will not work. You can log in from the Members' Home Page and when you have done this the menu bar on the Members' pages will change and you will see more options, including Log Out. You will be automatically logged out if close your browser and do not return for ten minutes, or you can log out manually. If you are not using your own computer we highly recommend that you log out when you finish.

If you are not logged in and try to access a members' page which is restricted you will be sent to the Members' Home Page instead.

Changing or forgetting my password

If you forget your password you can use the Forgot Password page without logging on. Here you enter your email address and a new password will be sent to you almost immediately.

Can I log in from anywhere?

Because your passwords are only sent to your email account you should have access to this when you register or ask for a new password. Otherwise you can use the DTG Members' Area from any computer. We recommend that if you are not using your own computer you must not allow the computer to remember your password if it offers to do so.
